This was so much fun. I had already worked with Alan Munden of Quay design on the initial fit out of the Eden Project Visitor centre. He then asked me to produce a kiosk for Eden to sell their guide books, and it should resemble the guide book itself. We spent a very memorable lunchtime in the Fisherman's café beside his barge workshop, discussing the form of the piece. Would it need single or double curvature? How do books actually bend when you read them? It was quite a complex piece to make, but every year Eden reuses them with reprinted graphics for the current guide book. We also made the bench surrounding the tall seaweed aquarium.
